Pag- usapan naman natin ang mga spots na mag- eenjoy ang isang bagong saltang worker o tourist sa New York. Siyempre andyan ang:

Pero ang mga babanggitin ko ay ang mga spots na DAPAT puntahan mo hindi lang for experience at for picture taking, affordable, laging may sale on items at HINDI ka titingnan nang masama ng salesperson kung di ka bibili.
1. Punta siyempre tayo sa Manhattan (New York, New York). By the way, hindi ito ang capital ng New York, Albany po.
First stop ay 86th street tayo. Andito ang Victoria’ s Secret among the hundreds of franchise here. Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft Kapag pumunta ka sa cross street na Third Avenue, may mga Korean health restaurants, Italian, Japanese… etc. na reasonable ang prices. Dito hindi ka mapapasubo kase NAKAPASKIL ang Menu and the price sa labas para di ka naman maghuhugas ng pinggan pagkatapos mo kumain.
May mga iba pang fashion stores na hindi naman kaseng mahal ng mga items sa stores sa 5th avenue. Independent designers sila and they would be willing to accommodate you. This is the stretch from East 86th to 77th (around that area). And wag kalimutan ang mga Chinese designers na may “stores” sa sidewalk showcasing pieces of Viton, Prado and Chanil. And 4,5,6 train ang sakyan mo para makapunta ka dito.
2. Kapag napadpad ka naman sa 59th street, andito ang Bloomingdales. Ang sarap pumasok kase lakas ng aircon. Andito halos lahat ng makeup line (sana pag- inapply ko eh gaganda talaga ako. Perfume galore rin dito but if you want cheaper, pumunta ka sa west 23rd to 28th, bumili ka doon sa mga Indian perfume stores. Smuggled pero authentic. Going back to 59th street, andito ang Hugo Boss, Benetton, Lord and Taylor, Charles Schwab and many others. Again 4,5.6 train or N, R and W train kapag ayaw mong maglakad.
3. Pababa naman tayo sa 34th West street. Andito ang MACY’S. World’s biggest store. MEGAMALL PA RIN AKO boto. Same stuff, Ang guso ko dito ay laging may sale. Kapag may holiday especially after Christmas, Labor Day, Independence Day, etc. Humanda ka at ang iyong credit card dahil 6 am pa lang bukas na ito at 70- 80 % off on items. Sa di pa gaanong severe na case ng pagka shopaholic, tamad pa kong gumising para lang makipagpatayan sa mga ibang shoppers. Again, N, R ang sakyan mo or 6 rin pwede but lakad ka ng mga 4 blocks west..
4. Punta tayo sa 14th street Union Square. Paborito ko ito dahil andito yung pinaka masarap na pizza (California Pizza) $2.25 kapag plain ang $2.75 pag may toppings. Kaseng laki naman ng mukha ko so okey lang. And of course andito ang Filine’s Basement, DSW, Circuit City (laging may sale sa Dvds), Disc-o-rama na mura ang mga CDs and dito mo mahahanap yung hard to find ones.
Andito ang Barnes and Noble Bookstore (marami rin ito sa buong NY). Dito pwede ka umupo sa floor, carpedeted floor, sulok at kahit nakabalance ka on one foot. para basahin ang mga libro kahit di mo bibilin. Pwede mong basahin kahit ano at ilang libro na kaya mo maghapon.
Pero ang mas gusto ko ay ang Strand Bookstore. It has been around for more than 50 years. Dalawa lang ang stores. The largest is in 14th street and the other one is in Chambers Street (Malapit na sa Brooklyn Bridge). Para sa tulad ko na love na love ang books, tambayan ko ito. Pwede mo rin kase basahin yung buong libro PLUS mas mura kesa sa Barnes and Noble. The RAREST (I mean as in) books makikita mo dito. This is also the place for review books. Kung baga “test drive” o “dry run” ng mga bagong books na kaka- publish to the public. 50 % off ang price nila. Andito ako lagi sa Strand na enjoy na enjoy basahin ang children’s books (lol). Minsan andun naman ako sa Psychology section na malapit sa Sex Books. Ewan ko ba kung bakit napapadpad ako sa area na ito. Ironic kase ang kasunod na aisle Eastern/ Western religion, philosophy and Islam section naman. At 4. 5. 6 train pa rin ang sasakyan mo papunta dito.
Abangan ang iba pang Hot Spots sa New York, pero sa libro niyo na ito mababasa.
PS. Ang latest fall trend: Wide headbands (may sampu na ako, ayaw ko mahuli eh) skinny jeans (pinag- iisipan ko pa dahil hindi ako payat) at leather, beaded boots. Malamang pag- binili mo itong libro. Iba na naman ang fashion trend.
